Description:
Bronze struck medal with obverse showing figure of running soldier facing left, holding rifle with both hands; battlefield in rising cloud of smoke in background. Reverse bears aerial view of France with major WWI battle names labelled upon it: "SOISSONS," BOIS-BELLEAU," CHATEAU-THIERRY," "REIMS," "ARGONNE," "VERDUN," and "St.MIHIEL"; above is legend with blank space for engraving beneath: ".1917 FRANCE 1918"; cross in exergue. Medal is set into dark red and purple cardboard bottom.
