Description:
Cast and spun silver plate wine funnel with strainer and spout; deep, gadrooned, bowl-shaped body with an applied, flared rim and applied, gadrooned border; flat, pierced bottom rendered in flower design; narrow, cone-shaped funnel applied to the base of the cup with wide, slightly domed curved and molded pedestal molded sides; spout curves at the bottom; no maker's marks.

This wine funnel descended throught the donor's family and is believed to have belonged to John Schermerhorn, John P. Schermerhorn (1808-1887), and Louise Schermerhorn (b. 1849).
