Description: 
A black woven silk ribbon with fine silver top and bottom border lines with a Union Jack with a green and silver crest in the center above the words "Union Of South Africa" in silver. This was the official flag prior to the adoption of the present red, green, blue, gold, black and white geometric patterned flag in 1994 by the Republic of South Africa. One in a series of collectible ribbons featuring Flags and Standards of the World. Given as a collectible premium by cigarette manufacturers, a paper label on the reverse reads "The American Tobacco Co., Inc./ New York".
