Gilt bronze struck medal with obverse showing clothed bust of Theodore Roosevelt facing left with legend: "THEODORE ROOSEVELT." Reverse depicts allegorical female figure of Columbia, leaning on low column decorated with U.S. state symbols and holding scroll in left hand; the Capitol building above; inscription below, at right: "INAUGURATED/PRESIDENT/OF THE/UNITED STATES/SEP. 14. 1901/SECOND TERM/MARCH 4./1905."
