Description:
Cast electroplated silver teapot; oval body tapers toward the foot; applied molded plain band footring; concave shoulder; lower body decorated with long thin gadroons and the upper body has an elaborate band of flowers, ferns and leaves; oval hinged lid raising to an oval gadrooned dome in the center with a wooden finial with a silver knop screwed through the center; cylindrical handle sockets with two plain rings along the edges, fitted with a squared wooden handle with a scroll thumbpiece; curved spout with a flat top and gadrooned base; notched spout lip; engraved "A W S" on the shoulder; makers' marks on the base.
