Wrought silver tea service including a teapot, sugar bowl, creamer and waste bowl; squat, round bodies with narrow, tapering gadrooning around the lower body; applied, stepped and concave shoulders with horizontally applied foliate scroll bands; seated on short, circular, stepped and molded pedestals with vertically applied beaded footrings; engraved on the front centers with the arms of the Maitland family, a crowned leopard seated on fess with spread arms, holding a sword in the left paw and a clover in the right; maker's marks stamped on the bases.
