Description: 
silver tablespoon with an upturned oval handle with a full splayed midrib on the front; engraved, "S V S H" in block letters on the underside of the handle; elliptical bowl with a double-molded rattail drop; maker's marks stamped twice on the underside of the stem.
Gallery Label: 
This tablespoon belonged to the Philip Hammerslough collection. It was then sold to a private collector (now deceased) whose widow sold it to Mr. Francis Bealey (Essex, CT). Mr. Bealey sold the spoon to Mr. Goelet who presented it to the Society.
