Description:
Twelve silver table forks with downturned oval handles with engraved foliate decoration around the engraved initials, "SES" in script; four curved tines on each; makers' marks stamped on the undersides of the handles.
Gallery Label:
The initials "SES" refer to Susan Elizabeth McLane (b.1831) who married Samuel Spencer Stafford (1825-1895) in Albany in 1854.
