Light olive green wool felt fedora with 1 3/4" silk band of matching color on exterior and brown leather sweatband.

According to the accession records, this hat, which is there identified as a U.S. Army campaign hat, was worn by Colonel Thomas Henry Barber (1844-1905), the donor's father, while serving with the 1st Regiment of Infantry, New York Volunteers, during the Spanish-American War.
