Description:
Sheet copper skimmer with pan perforated with heart, star, circle, and flame shapes; underside decorated with stamped and cut abstract and floral designs; attached with three copper rivets to wrought iron handle with hook terminus.

According to comments made by Donald Fennimore in fall 1997, this object was made from a warming pan lid made in England and adapted in the United States to make a skimmer.
