Description: 
Pair of mahogany, Grecian-style Federal side chairs with lyre-back; incurving top rail with veneered panel in between reeded stiles that continue to the front seat rail; slip seat with brackets and a reeded seat rail; incurving legs; hairy-paw feet in front.
Gallery Label: 
These chairs were originally ordered by the Griswold Family of Albany, New York. They descended by marriage to the Burden Family, whose descendants used them until the date of donation.
