Description:
Pair of dark brown (once black) baby shoes; ballet slipper style with square toes, oval metal buckle at the toes with bow through, 2 straps go around ankle from the back top, straps fasten at the center of the ankle with ebony button; leather sole; inside lined with white cotton.

These baby shoes were used in the Schermerhorn family in the nineteenth century.
