Description:
Cast silver plated serving dish with a roll top cover; outer oval dish with geometric piercing around the sides; four cast paw feet with ram's head joints applied to the base; everted rim with a beaded greek key band around edge; inner oval bowl applied to the outer with a plain band along one side; oval dome cover with a geometric scroll cartouche decoration and a bezel along one side; two ball finials on short cylindrical stems applied to each side of the cover; stems rest in sockets at each end of the dish and allow the cover to be rolled into the dish when the food is served; two serpent scroll rests applied to the front of the dish; no maker's marks.
