This seal impression is associated with Roman Catholic clergyman Robert Seton (1839-1927), brother of New York lawyer and author William Seton (1835-1905). Robert Seton was ordained in 1865 and thereafter served as chaplain to St. Elizabeth's convent near Madison, N.J., and as a pastor in Jersey City.
