Description:
Leather and brass bayonet scabbard; triangular black leather scabbard with throat sewn to frog that has square brass plate fastened to back, and a tapered brass tip with cone finial.

According to accession records, this bayonet scabbard was part of a uniform worn by the donor while a private in Company K of the 7th Regiment, National Guard New York.
