Description:
Wrought Sheffield plate sauce tureen with cover; oval, boat-shaped body with an applied gadrooned band around the rim; on a stepped, oval pedestal base with inscribed rings around the edge; two molded loop handles applied at each end; domed, oval lid with a ball finial on the top; semi-circular cut out at one end to hold a ladle; no maker's marks.
