Description: 
Wrought silver chinoiserie saltcellar; circular, bowl-shaped body with a flared rim; surface hammered all over below the rim and around a scalloped disk on the base; band of repoussé chased flowers and leaves around the sides; oval reserve on the center front engraved, "L" in script; body seated on three scrolled feet with moustached Asian masks above; makers' marks stamped on the base.
