White metal struck medal with obverse showing full-length male figure facing left, standing in front of table with open book and portfolio beneath, all surrounded by ornate fruit, flowers and laurel wreath; legend: "REMEMBER THY CREATOR IN THE DAYS OF THY YOUTH." Reverse contains inscription with laurel wreath above, all within floral surround: "REWARD/OF/SUPERIOR/MERIT."
