Description:
Porcelain pitcher with magenta enamel around neck and molded leaves and branch with green enamel and gilding; peach-colored enamel around base; handle shaped like branch and highlighted with gilding; inscription in gilding.
Gallery Label:
The pitcher was presented by Mayor James Harper (1795-1869) as a wedding gift to the great-grandmother of the donor's husband, James Harper Skillin.
