This pin-back button was acquired from an independent vendor at Foley Square during a pro-DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) rally on September 5, 2017. Organized by the New York Immigration Coalition, the "Fight for DACA!" rally responded to news that President Donald Trump was rescinding the immigration policy established under the previous administration. DACA recipients were known as "dreamers" after the DREAM Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act), first introduced to Congress in 2001.
