Small, wing-shaped lapel pin with brass back-clasp; face of pin depicts globe with flying airplane, “100,000 MILES” and “UNITED AIRLINES” flanked by wings.

Gallery Label: 

United Airlines distributed pins to mark customers’ completion of 100,000 miles of air travel beginning in the 1950s. Such recognition was an early precursor of the airline mileage award programs that exist today.
