Description:
Two-piece rounded rectangular needle case with enamel finish; pink background with cartouches with painted landscape scenes; cartouches outlined in rococo gilt scrolling.
Gallery Label:
This needle case was owned by Mrs. John (Harriet Moore Francis) Rogers, Jr. (1841-1927), wife of the sculptor John Rogers. They lived in New York until 1877, when they established their residence in New Canaan, Connecticut.
