Description:
Silver struck medal with obverse depicting seated draped figures of bride, with veil-covered head, and laureated groom, facing each other; legend above: "AMOR"; inscribed in exergue: "SEMPER." Reverse contains inscription with floral branches at left: "SOUVENIR/DU/MARIAGE/CONTRACTE/PAR LES EPOVX/HELEN M. GOVLD/FINLEY J. SHEPARD/LE 22 JANVIER 1913/BONHEVR/PROSPERITE." Medal is inset into rectangular wooden fitted box covered with white silk satin; white ribbed silk interior and metal and mother-of-pearl closure.
