Bronze struck medal with obverse showing uniformed bust of Edward McCall facing right with legend: "EDWARD R. McCALL NAVIS ENTERPRISE PREAFECTUS/SIC ITUR AD ASTRA." Reverse shows a naval battle scene with legend: "VIVERE SAT VINCERE" and inscription below exergual line: "INTER ENTERPRIZE NAV./AMERI. ET BOXER NAV./BRIT. DIE IV SEPT./MDCCCXIII."
