Description:
Leather, wood, iron, brass, and cotton knapsack; square wooden frame with black leather cover tacked to front and sides, two backstraps riveted to top rear with other ends fastened to iron buckles at left and right bottom, two buff leather blanket straps at top, and two buff shoulder straps sewn to rear and fastened with brass stud to breast and armpit straps; two leather-covered canvas flaps on inside of knapsack with four white canvas straps that tie together in center, and black leather flap at rear with white canvas inner pocket and three straps that fasten to brass studs at knapsack bottom; painted marks on front and flap; printed labels affixed to rear and printed mark on inside of shoulder strap.
