Spun and woven linen kerchief with a blue and white check pattern; blue band along each side; embroidered intials "P. C." in lower right corner.

This kerchief was made on a spinning wheel and loom by Phoebe Comstock, a half-sister of Mary Reed who married Thomas Edgerley on April 23, 1826.
