Bronze struck medal with obverse showing clothed bust of John Quincy Adams facing right with legend: "JOHN QUINCY ADAMS PRESIDENT OF THE U. STATES 1825." Reverse shows clasped hands below crossed peace pipe and tomahawk with legend: "PEACE/AND/FRIENDSHIP."
