Description:
Bronze struck medallion with obverse showing facing bust-length man's portrait with surrounding legend: "MEDICAL EDUCATION KEEPS AMERICA HEALTHY/FRANK H. LAHEY MEMORIAL AWARD." Reverse depicts caduceus enclosed by laurel wreath at center, with two superimposed ornate tablets inscribed: "Irving S. Olds", above, and "1960", below; legend: "FOR OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP IN MEDICAL EDUCATION/NATIONAL FIND FOR MEDICAL EDUCATION/AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION/ASSOCIATION OF AMERICAN MEDICAL COLLEGES." Medal is inset into dark blue leather fitted case with white silk satin and silk velvet interior.
