Wood and iron flintlock carbine; iron furniture.
Gallery Label:
According to accession records, this carbine was found in 1946 during excavations for the Battery-Brooklyn tunnel. The carbine was probably thrown away or abandoned in the area, which was underwater until landfilling of Battery Park began.
