stamped: on one side of blade: "COULAUX & CIE", "4", and mark consisting of an axis with "K" inside a diamond shape at center and a crown at either end
stamped: on opposite side of blade: "KLINGENTHAL", a crown, and two impressions of the mark described
Description:
Fencing foil with narrow, evenly tapered rectangular blade with ball tip; biloded gilded brass counter-guard with leather lining and pieces of armor and weaponry incorporated into openwork design; rectangular wooden grip wound with twine and covered in leather, then wrapped with twisted wire; gilded brass pommel in the form of a conventionalized helmet.
