Description:
Olive-green blown glass oval demijohn blown in full-size two-piece mold; ellipsoidal body, long slightly tapered neck, plain lip with applied flat ring; mold line running from one end to the other along center of base; slightly pushed up base with no pontil mark.

Demijohns, often covered with leather or wicker, were used for the shipping and storage of liquids.
