Description:
Wrought and seamed silver creamer in the Japanese style; square body flared out at the base; set on four curved trapezoidal feet; curved shoulder with a plain vertically applied rim; curved and tapered strap handle with a raised ridge along the center with punch work bell flowers, taper at base widens to a fish tail with a cut circle in the center; handle attaches at top with a split and curved flange; squat shield shaped spout; silver leaf and vine mounts with a dangling gourd wrap around the body with a silver dragonfly and copper and silver butter fly applied above and below; engraved " A. W. R." in block letters below a bishop's miter (unidentified family crest) on the front center.

The design of this creamer is identical to the 1872 "Vine" flatware pattern made by Tiffany & Co. A similar piece is in the collection of the Museum of Art, Carnegie Institute.
