Description:
Leather and brass percussion cap pouch; black leather pouch with two vertical loops for waist belt riveted and sewn on back, and rounded flap with strap that fastens to brass stud on bottom; stamped mark on front of flap.

This percussion cap pouch is probably a U.S. regulation model, and was produced in a government arsenal or by a private contractor during the Civil War. It was formerly part of the Francis Bannerman collection.
