Description:
Seamed gold-gilt, silver card case; rectangular body with rounded corners and scalloped sides; hinged lid with a circular button release and an applied reed lip on one side; sides engraved with an ivy vine; engraved foliate scrolls around the edges, wheel turned decoration in the center, around a foliate and trefoil cartouche on one side and a foliate and trefoil decorated shield reserve engraved, "B C/ Dec 21st../ 1853." in script on the other; no maker's marks.
