Description:
Gilt bronze medal with obverse showing uniformed bust of Thomas Truxtun facing left. Reverse shows naval battle scene with inscription in exergue: "By vote of Congress, to/THOMAS TRUXTUN/24 Mar. 1800." Black square fitted leather case with burgundy red silk velvet and silk satin lining.
