Description:
Silver plate candle snuffer; scissor form with flat, shaped arms; one arm with a triangular, pointed end and an applied rectangular pan with rounded corners; short, opposite arm fitted with a vertically applied conforming blade; applied, foliate scroll decoration on the pointed end and two bands applied across the top of the pan; circular pivot with an applied, repoussé chased foliate scroll disk; oval grips joined to the arms with repoussé chased c-scrolls around a shell motif; three cast ball feet applied to the outsides of the grips and the pointed arm; maker's marks stamped on the snuffer blade.
