This bronze is one of approximately 250 casts produced by the Roman Bronze Works in New York between roughly 1900 and 1920. Remington, who died in 1909, supervised the production of the earlier casts; his widow, who died in 1918, apparently authorized the later ones. The Society's cast, which is no. 101, was made sometime between 1906 and 1915.
