The original drawing was copied from a photograph taken from the roof of the New York Life Insurance Company Building at the corner of Leonard Street. It was published by Magnus as one of his "100 Letter-head Paintings of New York" and "48 Note Size Views" for sale by stationers and booksellers (copy in Print Room, N-YHS). Grace Church on Broadway near 10th Street is seen in the far distance.
