Porcelain bread and butter plate with broad border of salmon-colored enamel with outlining and accents in gilding; enamel borders are crossed by curving diaper-patterned bands of gilding.
This bread and butter plate belonged to Janet Livingston (1743-1828), wife of General Richard Montgomery (1738-1775); see Anthology of British teapots/ teacups for more information.
