Rectangular wooden box with flat, hinged lid, covered with paper lithographed with images of "The Life of King David" in red, blue, and black on off-white ground (discolored) with accompanying text on front of box; strips of gilded metal (or foil) affixed to edge of lid; on inside of lid, angel, sun, crescent moon, stars, ark, and bird (possibly rooster) cut out of paper printed in red, yellow, blue, and black and pasted to lid; inside of box covered in fabric, slightly stained, with inscription in black ink on edge.
