Description:
Cast and wrought gilt-silver bouquet holder with an ivory handle; funnel-shaped holder formed from eight cut work four-leaf clovers with diamond and flower patterns in the centers around the top, over eight wrought oval lobes with flowers in the centers; holder is applied to an eight-sided urn-shaped center section decorated with chased flowers; cylindrical handle covered with an ivory tube decorated with a carved vine of flowers; engraved knop finial applied to the base of the handle; four prongs to hold the flowers are inserted in the center of the holder; black leather rectangular box marked in gold, "M. M. S.".

This bouquet holder was probably used during the wedding of Margaret Antoinette Morris to John Austin Stevens Jr. in 1852.
