Description:
Pale violet glass bottle blown in a full-sized, two-part mold with a hand-tooled finish; bottle is rectangular with inset panels and flat chamfered corners embossed with "J. MILHAU," "CHEMIST," and "NEW YORK;" the flat, rectangular base has a mold seam running diagonally.

J. Milhau was a chemist located at 183 Broadway in New York circa 1860 to 1886.
