Awarded for bravery and meritorious deeds in combat, the "Friedrichs-Orden" medal was established by the second king of Württemberg, Wilhelm I, in honor of his father, King Friedrich I, in 1830. The military order conferred nobility in the German Kingdom of Württemberg. The order was made obsolete in 1918 following the unification of the German nation.
