V-shaped seam covering composed of a foliate scroll design with a Medusa head.

These cast-iron fragments represent one of the most important examples of a notable New York City building type. The Laing Store, according to historians, was the first cast-iron building in New York City and a significant example of the work of noted cast-iron designer James Bogardus (1800-1874).
