Exploring History’s Mysteries: Ages 5-7
Exploring History’s Mysteries is a multi-modal course for young learners (ages 5-7) to begin to understand the concept of the past and to consider how things have changed over time. Each series consists of three classroom lessons plus a fourth bonus experience where students put their new skills to work in the museums galleries or create a work of art! You can register your child for each series individually or book the entire year receive a discount.
Tuition must be paid in full to reserve a spot in the class. To receive the discount for booking the full year, complete payment must be submitted before the academic year begins on September 20.
Pricing:
- $150 per individual series (3 lessons + bonus experience)
- $650 for all five series (15 lessons + 5 bonus experiences)
Being a Historian: Learn what it means to be a historian and how to analyze different types of primary sources.

Bonus: Being a Historian Gallery Program: Practice your new historical thinking skills during a highlights tour of our museum.
Families through the Centuries: Discover what life was like in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries by learning about families who lived in New York City during these eras.

Bonus: Historical Portraits Studio Workshop: Learn how to create a portrait of someone from long ago using water color pencils.
New York’s Changing Community: Explore how communities in New York City changed over time as new populations, technologies, and ideas were introduced!

Bonus: Playing in the Past Special Exhibition Gallery Program: Explore an enchanting exhibit of model trains and toys. Students will learn what children played in the past and how these toys and games prepared them for the world.
Looking Deeper: Then & Now: Compare life long ago with life today to learn how and why society has evolved.
